Winter Style
The low temperatures are really affecting this southern belle’s needs. When it gets super cold my mood changes from what I want to smell in my home to the moisturizer I use on my body. I even switch out the throws and pillows around the house. It’s really a cleansing process and I quite enjoy it. My color vibe changes and those dark heathery tones become my friend as well as my furry Mou boots and Bogner ski jacket. Winter creates a uniform for me that is much like a garden taking it’s nap…things need to recharge.

Mou boots my everyday staple. Available at Capitol, Charlotte,NC.

Bogner jacket keeps me toasty warm.
I am home alone a good bit in the winter because my boys ski and hunt on the weekends. I find it is a good time for me to work on my goals for the new year in all aspects of my life. Spring break will be here soon enough and I enjoy getting focused at home and in my studio.

My winter home fragrance, Woodland truffle by Nest. Available at B.D. Jeffries, Charlotte, NC.

Cashmere throws in winter hues are on hand in every room for snuggling.

My winter lip potion. Eve Lom Kiss Mix. Available at Jeffre Scott Apothecary, Charlotte,NC.

I want my summer shine all year. Mario Badescu Summer Shine Body Lotion. Available at Jeffre Scott Apothecary, Charlotte, NC.

Winter wonderland. Jo Malone Dark Amber and Ginger Lily cologne. Available Neiman Marcus, Charlotte, NC.
Over the next two months I will be starting a new project at full speed and styling a major photo shoot. That is a lot of work and scents, color, wardrobe and cosmetics all play a role in making my day a good one! Time to get to the brass tacks of design. A little fluff never hurt anyone…
Mixing you,
