Thankful II
Reflecting back on this past year I am thankful for three things. The happiness of my family, good health, and a firm foundation of love for my children to come and go from as they grow older. I strive to keep that firm foundation of love decorated fabulously and I do believe that all of my boys appreciate it even if they don’t admit it.
I think that is one of the things that led me to interior design… I am a homebody at heart. I much prefer a night in to a large crowd. My entire house can be mentally rearranged when I concentrate and wander. Two opposing concepts summarize my creative process. The same thing happens at my client’s homes. It isn’t unusual to be in a site meeting when something completely off topic explodes out of my mouth. That is the beauty of my long term relationships with homes and their owner’s… It just spills out when I least expect it.
This past year some unpredictable circumstances kept me in bed for quite some time. Home is your refuge from the world and it should be a place that comforts you when the going gets tough. Aesthetic beauty comforts me and guiding others to achieve that comfort in their homes is what I love to do. I am thankful that I can do that every day!
I hope these images from my home dressed in autumn’s glow brightens your day.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Mixing you,
